Frontline II TURBO

Team Name: Frontline II TURBO
Member 1: Hiro Takawa
Member 2: Corey Lazarus
Team Weight: 450 lbs.
Entrance Description: The lights in the arena die down, leaving only an old fashioned, black and white film countdown on the ADC-Tron, the film flickering and a beep heard after every digit. ((INSERT THIS IMAGE: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/drezzy/countdown.gif )) The octave drone at the start of Darkest Hour's "Convalescence" fills the arena as strobelights focus on the entrance curtain. A slide of the bass and a hit of the snare at the 13-second mark brings a spotlight onto the curtain, bringing the attention of all in the arena to the duo of Corey Lazarus and Hiro Takawa, with Gregory Price not too far behind. Eric Emerson: Making their way to the ring at this time, weighing in at a combined 450 pounds, and being accompanied to the ring by Gregory Price... Corey and Hiro slide under the bottom rope and into the ring, both flipping up to their feet simultaneously before going back-to-back, turning around slowly to face each side of the arena while Price calmly walks over to their corner on the outside. Eric Emerson: ...the team of Hiro Takawa and Corey Lazarus... Hiro and Laz stop turning and rush to opposite corners, leaping up onto the second ropes and holding their fists high above their head. Eric Emerson: ...FRONTLINE II TURBO!! "Convalescence" dies down as both men hop down from the opposite corners, walking over to their assigned corner as they talk strategy.
Team Music: Darkest Hour - "Convalescence"
Moves: ==COMMON MANEUVERS== Back body drop (Hiro) into LygerBomb (Lazarus), inverted back body drop (Lazarus) onto partner's (Hiro) knees, Spike Brainbuster, double Superkick ==TRADEMARK MANEUVER== 1. Jonestown Flood: With both opponents standing, Corey lifts one opponent into a fireman's carry, leaving the other one alone. Hiro quickly ascends to the top rope, and flies off, stomping on the back of the opponent that Lazarus has in the fireman's carry, and using them to springboard onto the free opponent, nailing a quick hurricanrana as Corey delivers a Samoan Drop to the opponent he has been holding, dropping them right onto the opponent that was on the receiving end of Hiro's hurricanrana. ==PRIMARY SIGNATURE MANEUVERS== 1. THC-138: With one opponent prone on the mat, Hiro and Corey stand at opposite ends of the ring, with Hiro facing away from the ring at the ropes, and Corey stepping onto the ring apron across from Hiro, facing in towards the ring. At the same moment, both men springboard to the top rope, and Hiro backflips with a moonsault as Lazarus flips forward with a somersault. Hiro connects with his moonsault across the prone opponent's midsection just as Corey nails a somersault leg drop across the throat of the same opponent. 2. Hong Kong Blues: Hiro goes behind the opponent, and trips him up, locking on a wheelbarrow position. Corey hits the ropes, and runs towards the closest set of ropes to Hiro and their opponent, as Takawa lifts his opponent up as if to go for a wheelbarrow suplex, but holds him there for a moment. Very quickly, Corey springboards off of the middle rope and spins around, connecting with a Boomerang Kick to the back of their opponent's head. Immediately afterwards, Hiro slams his opponent face and chest-first into the mat with an inverted powerbomb. ==SECONDARY SIGNATURE MANEUVER== Back to the Future: Lazarus stuns his opponent with a striking move, and then goes behind them, lifting them up onto his shoulders in an Electric Chair position as Takawa ascends to the top rope. Corey positions himself so that he, as well as the opponent on his shoulders, are showing their sides to Hiro. Hiro then leaps off of the top rope, wrapping his legs around the opponent's head from behind as Corey quickly turns to the side and releases his opponent. Takawa follows through with a backflip, causing the opponent on Lazarus' shoulders to do the same and land face-first on the mat following the inverted hurricanrana.
History: While Corey was raised in luxury with a rich family in Hollywood, and Hiro lived with a family of Japanese immigrants that relocated from Tokyo to Worcester, Massachusetts following his father's career change, the two are more alike than one would think. Both men were trained by the legendary pair of "The Youngblood" Cliff Young and "The Outlaw" Jesse White. Both men have incorporated martial arts, with Corey adding Muay Thai and Hiro adding a blend of Muay Thai and Kung-Fu, into their already sound technical and aerial abilities. And both men, in fact, have similar movesets, with Corey's being heavier on heavy strikes and hard-hitting powerful grapples, and Hiro's having a more submission and flying-oriented feel to it. Lazarus and Hiro instantly hit it off while at the Front Line Academy, and worked both as a tag team in New England independent Rising Phoenix Pro Wrestling, and as respected rivals. When Corey received his big break into the big leagues by way of a Pioneer Wrestling Association contract, Hiro was offered tour after tour of Japan by various Japanese promotions, and decided to stay there. Throughout their careers, though, their paths have intertwined in various promotions, oftentimes with Hiro coming to Corey's aid.
Other Info: For a personality overview, think of Ryu and Ken. Hiro is Ryu, a world warrior who cares little for personal vendettas and more for proving himself to be the best combatant that he can be, and Lazarus is Ken, a loudmouth jerk with the same abilities that Ryu has just with a major ego and attitude problem on top of them.
