Hiro Takawa

Handler: drezzy
Height: 6'
Weight: 220 lbs.
Classification: Face
Classification: Cruiserweight
Hometown: Tokyo, Japan
Entrance Music: Helloween - ''Falling Higher''
Entrance Description: Mist pours out from behind the entrance curtain as a single blast of red and white pyro shoots up from the stage, cuing up Helloween's "Falling Higher." The song plays for about 16-seconds until a pair of snare hits brings forth Hiro Takawa from behind the entrance curtain, the ADC-Tron blending clips of his work from Rising Phoenix Pro, the Frontline Academy's Frontline Showcase events, the PWA, as well as the current live feed. Gregory Price and Corey Lazarus walk out from behind the curtain immediately after him, but Takawa wastes no time, his face hidden by the hood of his black zip-up hoodie, a single patch of a Japanese flag sewn onto it over his heart. The introduction of the song transitions seamlessly into the instrumental power/speed riffing just prior to the first verse, prompting Takawa to drop to a knee halfway down the ramp, looking out all around the arena while Corey and Gregory catch up to him.

Eric Emerson: Introducing at this time, he weighs in tonight at 220 pounds and stands at 6 feet even...

The vocals kick in of the first verse, prompting Hiro to jump back to his feet and, again, march down towards the ring with Laz and Price in hot pursuit.

\=I thought that I felt alright with my world=//
\=But now what I knew seems taken by someone=//

Eric Emerson: Being accompanied to the ring by Corey Lazarus and Gregory Price...

\=Probing me, waiting if I take the bait=//
\=Surrender, step into the line=//

Hiro stops at the bottom of the ramp, jogging in place as he throws a few shadow punches and kicks. Price and Lazarus walk past him with Gregory walking up the ringsteps and Corey hopping up onto the apron. The pre-chorus kicks in as Takawa dives under the bottom ropes, rolling forward to a crouched position.

Eric Emerson: From Tokyo, Japan...

\=We won't give into the false=//
\=We're not as dull as others taken=//
\=Some will hold out if they can=//
\=They must kill us if they want us to fall=//

Eric Emerson: ...HIRO TAKAWA!!!

Hiro leaps to his feet as the chorus kicks in, throwing his hood off of his head and raising his fists to the sky, staring out across the arena.

\=When we unite=//
\=We're falling higher=//
\=When worlds collide=//

Takawa slides his black zip-up hoodie off, handing it to Price as he backs into his corner, holding his arms out in front of him for the referee to give him a quick pat-down.

\=We'll stand straight in turmoil and fear=//
\=No harm coming near=//

"Falling Higher" dies down immediately after the end of the chorus, prompting Lazarus to slide out of the ring and stand next to Gregory on the outside. Hiro drops to a crouched position, one hand on the middle rope, and calmly focuses on the opposite corner.

Trademark Maneuvers:
1: Time Traveller
2. Dawn's Early Light

Trademark Descriptions:
1: (Time Traveller) With the opponent standing and somewhat dazed, Hiro leaps onto their shoulders, as if to go for a Victory Roll. Takawa then flips backwards, his body going through his opponent's legs while his opponent is pulled backwards with a backflip, landing squarely on their forehead as Hiro connects with an inverted hurricanrana. Takawa then usually turns around and rolls his opponent over, covering for a pinfall attempt, but has, at times, been known to immediately lock on the H-Lock.
2: (Dawn's Early Light) Hiro locks a front facelock onto his opponent, draping their arm over his shoulder, and lifting them vertically, almost as if to go for a vertical suplex. Takawa then shoves his opponent backwards while he himself falls to a seated position, releasing their body but holding their head close to his bicep and shoulder with both hands. The result is his opponent falling into a neckbreaker after being lifted for a vertical suplex.

Finishing Maneuvers:
1: Omega Burst (primary)
2: Taka Nadare (secondary)
3: H-Lock (secondary)
4: Omega Burst Zero-Five (tertiary)
5: Mercury Driver (last resort)

Finishing Descriptions:
1: (Omega Burst) By whatever means, Hiro knocks his opponent down to a knee, drilling them with various strikes to the head and upper back in order to keep them dazed. He then backs up, measuring the distance, and charges to them, kicking off of their knee as if it were a springboard before nailing a brutal double-foot stomp to the back of their head.
2: (Taka Nadare) Hiro lifts his opponent onto his shoulders with a fireman's carry, placing their head over his right shoulder and their legs over his left. He then spins his opponent's head forward, swinging their body in front of him, and tucks their head in before falling to a semi-seated position towards his left, driving his opponent's head, neck, and shoulders into the canvas as he folds their body virtually in half.
3: (H-Lock) After knocking his opponent to the mat so that they are lying face-down, Takawa takes a seat on the small of their back, grabbing one of their arms and wrapping it around their neck and under their jaw, holding it from behind at the wrist. He then locks a half nelson onto the other arm and pulls back, stretching his opponent out with a Half Nelson Cut-Throat Camel Clutch.
4: (Omega Burst Zero-Five) After ascending to an elevated surface, be it the top rope or top turnbuckle or onto a ladder or whatnot, Hiro stands tall, his back to the opponent. Takawa then leaps off, corkscrewing around to face his opponent before somersaulting forward, coming down with a vicious double-stomp to either his opponent's head or midsection. ((NOTE: This can be done to either a standing or lying opponent.))
5: (Mercury Driver) Hiro knees his opponent in the midsection, doubling them over, and lifts them into an inverted fireman's carry, essentially applying a Torture Rack. Takawa then pulls his opponent in front of him by their head so that their back is to his midsection, the opponent upside-down, and drops to his knees, driving the opponent head-first to the canvas.
((NOTE: Each grappling move can be modified, should the situation arise, to include a wrist-clutch, where the opponent's free arm is locked between their legs and held from behind at the wrist, or a cutthroat, where the opponent's free arm is wrapped around their own throat.))
Quote: "My name is Hiro Takawa. You will soon know it well."
History: Born in August of 1977, Hiro Takawa was the only son of a Japanese businessman, Maruni Takawa, and a Japanese housewife, Toyo Takawa. At the age of 7, the family relocated from Tokyo, Japan to Worcester, Massachusetts in the United States. There, Hiro quickly learned English, as he had always been a fast learner, and took up an interest in sports, particularly combat sports, such as Mixed Martial Arts, amateur wrestling, boxing, and others. At the age of 22, against his parents' wishes for him to become a stockbroker or a doctor, Hiro enrolled in the Front Line Academy in Boston, training under the guidance of the legendary duo of "The Youngblood" Cliff Young and "The Outlaw" Jesse White.
While training, Hiro met up with fellow trainee Corey Lazarus, and the two quickly became close friends. Once training was complete, Hiro stuck to the independent leagues and touring the world, honing his craft, whereas his friend, and to many his complete counterpart, Corey went on to stardom in film and wrestling. Never jealous, Takawa continued making a name for himself as a respectful man outside of the ring, and a dangerous man in it. Racking up wins over the top names of Japan, Takawa has since decided to come back to America to team with long-time friend and fellow Front Line graduate Corey Lazarus.
