||
| DING DING! Eric Emerson: The following match is the opening bout of the evening and is a CAGE MATCH! Introducing first, hailing from Houston, Texas... The lights in the arena dim as the opening riff of “5 Minutes Alone” hit’s the p.a. system. The PWAtron lights up with a headshot of Scott Nash Strader looking down, with his blondish hair hanging in his face. He slowly lifts his head as the words to the song begin. Eric Emerson: He stands 6'10" and weighs in at 295 pounds... ##I see you had your mind all made up you group of Pitiful liars.
Before I woke to face the day, your master Plan transpired. Something told me- this job had more to Meet the eye. My song is not believed? My words some- What deceiving? Now I'm unwhole.## Eric Emerson: He is a member of the Cowboys From Hell and a member of the Strader family... Scott Nash Strader steps out from behind the curtain he closes eyes and looks upwards. Eric Emerson: SCOTT NASH STRADERRR!!! ##But you can't crush the kingdom
Can't be what your idols are. Can't leave the scar. You cry for compensation. I ask you please just give us...## Scott begins his descent down to the ring. ##5 minutes alone##
##5 minutes alone## ##5 minutes alone## Scott grabs hold of the steel cage doorframe and enters the cage. He steps over the top rope and leans back in the corner waiting for his opponent. Eric Emerson: And introducing his opponent for the evening... The opening riff to "Fear" by Disturbed hits the speakers as the lights dim. Then David Draiman's voice comes over the PA system as it does the lights begin to pulsate in time to the song. ##Fear is on the again##
##Huh, huh, huh, huh huh, huh## ##Fear is on the again## ##Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh## ##Fear is on the again## ##Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh## ##Fear is on the again## ##Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh## Eric Emerson: Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, he stands 6'6" and weighs in at 229 pounds... The PWA monitors light up, showing clips of Jonathan Cage's career highlights. Eric Emerson: He is The Shadow... ##Are you no one## ##Feel you nothing## ##You know I'll bet you think## ##You have a good reason to be living## ##In the limelight of the fortunate ones## ##you're too weakened by the poison## ##That they feed you in the living lie## ##They don't believe you## ##Call to no one## ##Trust in nothing## ##Little impotent one## Eric Emerson: JONATHAN CAAAGE!!! Jonathan Cage stands on the stage for 30 seconds, posing as he looks out upon the crowd. He then steps out from behind the pyros and heads to the ring, his eyes fixated upon those of his opponent. Jonathan walks up the ring steps and enters the cage. Strader runs forward to meet him with a big boot to the head, sending Cage's head bouncing off the steel. The referee shuts and locks the door as SNS whips Jonathan Cage across the ring into the opposite corner. The Shadow recovers his wits in time to avoid the huge running lariat, ducking under and behind Scott Nash Strader. When Strader turns around, Jonathan Cage nails him in the mouth with a superkick. SNS drops back into the corner, and Cage climbs the turnbuckles. The Shadow begins driving fists into his opponent's face as the crowd counts along. "4! 5! 6!" Rentfro: This is going to be one Hell of a fight. McDaniel: Indeed, Brian. This will be far more of a brawl than a wrestling match. Scott Nash Strader picks up Jonathan Cage and steps out of the corner to deliver a reverse atomic drop that causes Cage to hop around in pain. Scott spins around to deliver a stunning short-arm clothesline that takes Cage off his feet. SNS then begins putting the boots to his adversary, slowly driving him into the ropes where he boot chokes him. Jonathan Cage delivers a low blow to Strader, returning the favor from earlier and forcing him back. The Shadow kips up to his feet and leaps into the air to perfectly execute a spinning wheel kick that sends Scott crashing to the mat. Rentfro: Cage proves there that anything goes in a cage match. If he'd tried that in a regular match he would have been disqualified. McDaniel: There are no disqualifications, however. Nor are there pinfalls or submissions. The only way to win is to be the first to exit the cage and have your feet touch the floor. Jonathan Cage stalks his opponent. As Scott Nash Strader gets to his feet, Cage swoops in to take him up and over with a German suplex. Jonathan does not release the hold, however, as he floats over into a second then a third to complete a trifecta. The Shadow delivers one last German suplex, this one a high-arch release German suplex that drives Scott down into the canvas by the top of his skull. Cage smirks at his handiwork as SNS lies still in the center of the ring, then he makes his way to the wall of the cage. Jonathan Cage begins the slow climb to the top of the cage, seeking to make his exit out of the cage and the match. McDaniel: SNS looks to be out cold there.... Rentfro: NO! He just sat up! and Cage doesn't know!! Scott Nash Strader walks over to the cage wall and positions his opponent for an elevated powerbomb. The Shadow's eyes go wide as he realizes what is happening, and he clings to the steel links for dear life. It has become a true tug-of-war, but, after several moments, Jonathan can no longer maintain his grip on the steel and he is driven into the mat with such force that the entire ring shakes. Scott throws the patented Strader Sneer down at his fallen adversary then calls for the Hangover Deluxe. SNS hooks the tights and brings The Shadow high into the air as if for a vertical suplex. Scott Nash Strader walks around the ring to prove his dominance. However, this proves to be his undoing as Jonathan Cage pushes off the cage to return him back to his feet. Rentfro: Damn, if only Strader hadn't spent time posing he might have been able to put away Cage. McDaniel: That's what happens when you get cocky during a match. Sometimes you pay for it... as SNS just paid for it! The Shadow just dropped SNS on his skull with a DDT after a rake of the eyes! Jonathan Cage grinds his boot into the face of his opponent then steps off to run into the ropes, rebounding off with a moonsault towards his downed adversary. Scott Nash Strader manages to bring his knees up in time, however, and Cage crashes and burns. Scott rolls back to his feet and grabs Cage by the back of his head, charging forward to drive the Shadow's face into the unforgiving cage wall. Strader does this a few more times before Jonathan puts on the brakes, slamming an elbow into his adversary's abdomen. Jonathan Cage grinds his opponent's face across the steel links then Irish whips him towards the ropes. McDaniel: Jonathan Cage pounds the mat with his foot, looking for another superkick, a move that served him well earlier in the match. Rentfro: But SNS was ready for him! He catches the foot and spins Cage around... SCOTCH VALLEY DRIVER! Jonathan Cage looks out cold! Scott Nash Strader makes for the door of the cage, ordering the official to unlock it. The rattling of the chain must have roused something in Cage, as his eyes snap open as the door is opened. Jonathan lunges forward to tackle Strader down to the canvas. SNS struggles to free himself, but the Shadow hauls him back into the center of the ring, locking in an ankle lock as the door is closed and locked once again. Scott shouts in pain as Jonathan Cage wrenches on his ankle. Gritting his teeth, SNS rolls through the hold, flipping the Shadow onto his back. The two men get to their feet and begin exchanging blows, fists and forearms, punches and chops. Strader lands a huge fist that sends Cage stumbling back, Only to have the Shadow reciprocate with a standing missile dropkick that sends Scott into the ropes. McDaniel: Huge spear by Jonathan Cage! Sending both men through the ropes to crash into the steel! Rentfro: Cage is on top of Strader, raining fists down on him! SNS catches the Shadow's fist and drives his head into the steel! Again! Scott Nash Strader whips Cage down the length of the ring apron to crash face-first into the cage wall. Jonathan bounces back from the impact, right into a big boot to the back of the head from Strader. SNS picks up the Shadow and sets him onto the top turnbuckle then climbs up after him, calling for the Over Rye Drive. However, before he can trap his opponent's arms, Jonathan Cage drives Scott's head into the turnbuckle then pushes him off the ropes to crash down onto the canvas. Jonathan Cage leaps into the air, executing a picture-perfect millenium drop, and comes crashing down across his opponent. Rentfro: Shit that was a sweet move! You rarely see an actual millenium drop! McDaniel: That just goes to show the level of quality of these athletes. Jonathan Cage props Scott Nash Strader across the bottom two turnbuckles then steps back. Cage charges forward to drive a wicked knee smash into Scott's mouth, busting him open. Strader feels his mouth then looks at his hand. Seeing the blood, a spark flashes in his eye and he charges out of the corner, picking him up to execute an Oklahoma Stampedge. SNS hooks Jonathan's legs under his arms and lifts him into the air planting him with a Cherry Whiskey Bomb. He goes to do this a third time, but, instead of slamming him down into the canvas, he sends him crashing into the steel cage wall. Rentfro: Cage just awoke a sleeping giant, a very pissed off giant. McDaniel: The Shadow might care, too, but he looks to be broken into pieces right now. Strader looks down at Cage, blood pouring from his forehead, dripping heavily on the fallen body of Jonathan Cage. Scott grabs Cage by the hair and yanks him up to his feet. SNS props Cage onto his knees, and sets him up for the Finishing Touch. Scott lifts Cage into the air, and starts running. He releases Cage sending him flying against the cage door. Rentfro: How in the hell did that door not bust open? McDaniel: I guess Sommers pays the ring crew better then Robinson did. SNS looks down at Cage, and begins climbing the steel cage. The Irish fans are going nuts as Strader climbs the cage, as Jonathan starts to stir. Scott's right hand grabs onto the top of the cage, as he tries to pull himself up. Cage, shaking the dust bunnies out of his head, with a quick burst run, runs up the side of the cage, curving mind you, and leaps off with a huge missle drop kick sending Strader flying to the other side of the cage's wall, and Jonathan falls to the mat. Rentfro: My God, that was straight of out a Jackie Chan movie! McDaniel: Or a Jet Li movie. SNS sits up slowly shaking the stars away from his head as Cage pulls himself back up by the ropes. Strader stares at Jonathan intensely. SNS within a split second, runs at Cage, and what looks like a clotheline, but Scott spins right behind Cage putting him in a sleeper hold. Scott forces Cage to his knee's. Scott wrenches hard on the neck of Jonathan Cage. McDaniel: Well this hasn't been a lot about wrestling, might as well go back to the basics. Rentfro: Still you could do something cooler then a sleeper hold. Cage starts to come back to life, as he starts elbowing Scott in the side quickly. Scott releases the hold, as Cage falls back to one knee and one arm on the mat. He stands up, and quickly turns his head to Strader, a look of pure hatred is shared between the two. Left and right are the fists that begin flying, not one backing down. Cage hits Strader in the gut with a left boot, and lifts SNS high up into the air. He walks the around the ring a bit, as much as he can, showing off what he's doing to Strader before dropping him. Cage gets up, and grabs Strader by the hair. He takes him to the corner, directly across from the cage door, and starts running. Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! Rentfro: Holy shit is right! McDaniel: Strader went right through the door, half his body outside the other inside the cage! Strader is out cold. Cage laughs as he stands there taunting Scott, before pulling him back in. Jonathan points up, as he starts his ascent up the cage on the opposite side, instead of taking the easy way out. Cage reaches the top pulling himself up. He looks down outside the ring, then back to Strader. The crowd is going nuts. Rentfro: What are you doing? You could take the lead against the Straders! Cage looks out the crowd and smiles widely. He leaps off the cage. McDaniel: He should've jumped out on the floor! Rentfro: Idiot! Strader was playing him the fool. Cage's head bounced off the mat instead of Strader's head. Strader stands up slowly with the aid of the ,the ropes. He falls back in to the turnbuckle as he raises his fist in the air. He walks over to the door, yelling at the referee to open it again. The chain link door is all mangled, the lock covered. The referee can't get it unlocked. Strader swears under his breath. He looks back over at Cage, and shrugs. He moves towards the cell wall facing the announcement team. He reaches up and begins his climb. Cage pulls himself to the same cage wall, and begins pulling himself up. Strader reaches the top, and grabs on the steel rod at the corner. Cage pulls himself up as well. Strader leans back, shaking out the dizziness as he notices Cage. They stare at eachother as they grab each others necks. They both lift off like a chokeslam as they begin to fall. CRASH!
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! McDaniel: You ok Rentfro? Rentfro: They just wrecked our announcment table! Yet the Spanish the guys table is just fine. McDaniel: Wait, who won the match? Strader and Cage both lay knock out cold, both sets of feet touching the floor. The two referee's are arguing off to the side. Seems that one thinks SNS is the winner, and the other says Cage is. McDaniel: I'm sorry folks, seems like there isn't a undisputed winner. Rentfro: Get these two guys out of here. I want a new table. Both Strader and Cage begin to stir. The crowd starts going crazy again for a hell of an opening match at Revolutions Per Minute. Scott stands, bleeding and cut on the most part of his upper torso, and face. He moves his blood caked hair back with his hand as he watches Cage stand up. Jonathan Cage stands up, and does the same as Strader. The crowd is going crazy, hoping these two will go at each other again. Strader sneers his family infamous sneer, as both he and Cage embrace in a handshake. McDaniel: That's true sportsmanship right there. The match has finally been decided as a draw by the way folks. Rentfro: This is garbage. After a match like that? To end in a draw?! Then be all gentlemen about it afterwards. There's no crying in baseball! McDaniel: What are you talking about? This isn't baseball and no one's crying. Rentfro: Shut up. Both men head up the rampway and disappear backstage as the Steel Cage comes off the ring, being raised back into the top of the arena. McDaniel: Let's jump right into our next match! |
